Colour Coate Collection finish pools helps to create an inviting and relaxing environment.  In addition, it helps mask or hide dirt, debris and light stains.  White pool water reflects light and depending on the depth of the water, and the things around it like tile and coping usually show up as a light blue color.  However, when you are up close next to the pool it looks transparent or clear.  So with Colour Coate finish pools the darker the color the darker blue the water will appear from a distance.  Up close the water will still be transparent but will appear amazingly busier in appearance with color tone variations and a tint of sparkle for fun.

Developments in gelcoat technologies in recent years, gives manufacturers and consumers more choices of color finishes for fiberglass pools.  Royal Fiberglass Pools Colour Coate Collection, unlike pigmented gelcoats of the old days, gets its characteristics from solid particulates in a range of colors to give it tone with a hint of sparkle in the same size and shape so that it doesn't stand out.  These particulates are manufactured from large thin colored gelcoat sheets that are allowed to cure then ground up into small particulates.  This material is then recombined with clear resin in controlled proportions into one mixture.  This mixture is sprayed onto a prepared mold and becomes the finish of your pool.  Royal Fiberglass Pools Colour Coate Collection finish is a tough, durable and beautiful finish that will have amazing shifts of color throughout the day and by light at night.

Note:  When using our Colour Coate series pools exposed coping is not recommended for two reasons swimmer comfort (surface could get warm) and UV degradation of the surface.  UV will cause the exposed areas to prematurely weather and fade.  This area can be restored to luster with constant waxing and buffing a responsibility most homeowners find very tedious.  Therefore, if you are considering our Colour Coate Collection pools we strongly recommend you tile and cover the coping with brick or cantilevered decks.
