Our company philosophy from day one is to build the best pool that money and technology can deliver. To do that it requires belief that there is always a better pool or way to manufacture the pool.
Royal Tank Systems is the result of our current General Manager Tony Hebert and his relentless search for the best product and process for creating it. In his early 20’s he designed and patented the Royal Tank System that everybody, including his father Cliff Hebert, said wouldn’t work. This technology has allowed our company to continue to produce high quality "hand laid" swimming pools in both our facilities because of the advantages it creates on both the product and the manufacturing process.
HOW IT WORKS
Resin which is a key component in fiberglass manufacturing, it can be purchased in large drums and used as needed or stored in large bulk storage tanks. If resin is used in drums it requires mixing before use usually done with mixer or auger type system. The disadvantage to this is there are a lot of air bubbles and waste that occur with this process. If stored in a large tank as the resin is used it naturally clings to the tank and gels slightly. The gelled particles are reintroduced into the new resin when the tank is filled. Both methods, creates inconsistency in material that could alter the performance of the material.
Royal Tank System features a floating head the sits atop the resin. The floating head lowers as the resin is used and maintains a minimum of air space volume above the resin. Reducing the air space prevents the material from gelling at the top of the tank. As the resin is used the floating head in the Royal Tank System lowers as the tank empties, it also cleans the tank walls by scraping away any resin clinging to the walls.
Resin Management not only lengthens the resin’s life and eliminates waste of traditional bulk storage which is a lot friendlier to the environment and cost of the product. Resin at our plants remain consistent from the beginning to end of each tanker, which is the key component to the Royal Fiberglass Pools manufacturing process.
